Sky CREATURE
Sky Creature is baritone guitarist Matt Walsh and vocalist Majel Connery. Occupying a space between art music and punk rock, the band elicits comparisons with artists from Kate Bush to Suicide. Walsh toured for over a decade as one half of acclaimed post-punk duo The Forms, sharing the stage with artists ranging from The National to St. Vincent to Hum. Connery’s solo music has been featured on Radiolab, New Sounds radio, and Live from the Kennedy Center.
Since its inception in 2021, Sky Creature has toured nationally twice, and performs regularly in a variety of spaces from the underground punk scene to major museums like The Exploratorium, Crystal Bridges, BAMPFA, The Knoxville Museum of Art and Speed Art Museum, including a live art/live music program with former Trisha Brown dancer Tony Orrico.
